Rail
Rail Access Fee – 18/10/2024
Due to increasing costs for maintaining the internal track network, The Bristol Port Company will be introducing a rail access charge for trains entering and using the Port estate.
This charge will be billed directly to the FOCs and will be implemented from 1 January 2025. The charge will be £250 per train and will be reviewed in December of each year, with a view to increase the charge each 1 January.
Any new business will have the charge applied immediately.
In addition to the rail access charge, a fixed schedule of charges for wagons that are left on port infrastructure will be implemented. This will be charged as follows:
Wagon left 1-7 days = £250 per wagon per day.
Wagon left 8 – 14 days = £350 per wagon per day.
Wagon left beyond 14 days = £500 per wagon per day.
Any wagon left without prior permission, will automatically be charged at £500 per wagon per day.
Invoices to be issues monthly in arrears and payable 14 days from date of invoice.
